Over the past few months, the phrase “Yoongi, marry me” has become one of the most used jokes between BTS and their fans. While some believe the joke has now reached its retirement time, it would appear that the man in question, Sugadon’t care.

After wrapping up the US leg of his solo tour with record success, the rapper returned to Korea on May 19. KST. The next day, he resumed his promotional activities for D-Dayhis latest solo album, hosting a “movie night” themed fan interaction event with 350 lucky ARMYs.

Suga attended the event, looking sharp in a three-piece suit. As soon as fans posted his photos online, many joked that he showed up on a movie date looking like a groom. It turns out that an ARMY made good use of the opportunity and finally asked for her hand in marriage directly!

While answering some fan-submitted questions, Suga came across a fan’s post that said she wished she was 29 instead of 39. Curious, he looked at the audience and asked why she wished that. The person who wrote this message replied, so she could have asked him to marry her.

Suga had the sweetest response to the fan. He said reassuringly that age didn’t really matter to him. So whether someone is 29 or 39, it doesn’t bother them. He then joked that he didn’t say it because he too was in his thirties now and his heart was still young.
