When it comes to K-Pop artists, there is no set number of songs they are supposed to release each year. While a group’s fans will always be excited about new music from their favorite artists, most of them also like to see a balance of work and rest so the idols can stay healthy and happy. That being said, there is a huge difference in the number of songs that different fourth generation girl groups have released over the course of their careers, and therefore, a very different number of average songs released per year!
Here is an overview of the average number of songs released by 15 K-Pop girl groups each year, based on the total number of songs released and the number of years in operation. Note that only bands that debuted at least a year ago have been included, and song counts for each artist do not include instrumentals, alternate language versions of original songs, remixes, or songs by sub-unit/solo promoted outside the group.
