When it comes to K-Pop artists, there is no set number of songs they are supposed to release each year. While a group’s fans will always be excited about new music from their favorite artists, most of them also like to see a balance of work and rest so the idols can stay healthy and happy. That being said, there is a huge difference in the number of songs that different third generation boy bands have released over the course of their careers, and as a result, a very different number of average songs released per year!
Here is an overview of the average number of songs released by 15 K-Pop boy groups each year, based on the total number of songs released and the number of years in operation. Note that the number of songs for each artist does not include instrumentals, alternate language versions of the original songs, remixes, or sub-unit/solo songs promoted outside of the band.
